Joboshare DVD to BlackBerry Converter is a DVD ripper. Although the name of the application seems to indicate that it was designed for the conversion of movies for playback on BlackBerry devices, that is not the case. It does contain four conversion profiles for Blackberries, but they are not optimized for any specific Blackberry models. They use the 3GP, AMR, AVI and MPEG-4 codecs. There are profiles for iPaqs, Windows Mobile phones, and Toshiba and Dell PDAs. This application's format support is not limited to the formats that can be played on Blackberry phones. In fact, the most popular formats are available, including MKV, ASF, WMV, RM, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, and a few others.

Joboshare DVD to BlackBerry Converter comes with a very basic video editor that lets you trim your DVD titles before you convert them. In comparison with other rippers, the editor is too basic, and it lacks some important features.

Movies can be loaded from either a DVD disc or a folder on your PC. Once a movie is added to the conversion queue, all the titles that make it up will be listed. You can check those that you want to convert, or you can select individual chapters as well.

In short, this DVD ripper works well and it has a good format support. It lacks a few features commonly found in commercial rippers, like GPU support, a good video editor, and, most importantly, it doesn't have a good selection of conversion profiles for Blackberry devices.
